Whether you are interested in renting a garden plot, boarding your horse, donating a commemorative memorial or more,
County Parks has many ways for you to get intimately involved with your parks.

Adopt-A-Park, Beach, or Trail

Do you have a favorite County Park or Beach?
Individual volunteers or volunteer groups may adopt a park, natural area, beach, or sections of paved/natural trails. Responsibilities include park beautification, reporting park or trail needs, installing and monitoring bird nesting boxes, and other environmental projects.

Commemorative Program

County Park's Commemorative Program offers a unique opportunity to honor a loved one, celebrate a milestone, or demonstrate your community support! Whether it is a tree, bench, picnic table, or paver, the commemorative program can create an intimate space in a county park while providing funds to support and enhance the department.

Be sure to check if the park you are interested in is a Santa Cruz County park by using the Santa Cruz County Park's Finder.

Cross Country

Is your running event or cross country team interested in using County Park trails? County Parks offers trail usage at several parks including Pinto Lake County Park and Anna Jean Cummings Park.
To request usage of trails for your group, see the form below.

Garden Plot Rental

Looking for a space to grow and nurture plants? County Parks has garden plots available in select parks! These annual rentals include water access and garden tool storage. All participating parks have ADA plot options.

Horse Boarding at Quail Hollow Ranch

County Parks offers an opportunity to rent one of the twelve horse stalls at the historic Quail Hollow Ranch located in Felton, California. Nestled deep in the Santa Cruz Mountains, this 300-acre historic horse ranch and nature preserve is home to 15 unique habitats, 4.5 miles of equestrian trails and a large arena.

Surfing

Whether you are a beginner surfer or a seasoned pro, County Parks offers special opportunities to enhance your experience at County beaches! County Parks offers surf contest permits across the county and surf lessons through our surf school concessionaire program at Pleasure Point and the Hook!
