Kreative Kids Classes and Programs

Fun Fridays - NEW!

An enrichment class for all children 3-6 years old (& potty trained). The focus will be on music, art, story and beginning level drama experiences. Self-directed play and a healthy snack (contributed by co-oper) will be included in each 4-hour class. Each 6-week session requires one co-op participation day by a parent or adult friend. Please note, children may attend Fun Fridays as a stand-alone class; enrollment in the Kreative Kids Preschool Program is not required.

Instructor: Freesia Raine is a singer/songwriter and music teacher with many years experience offering unique programs for pre-school and school-age children. 

Wilder Hall, Ben Lomond - Ages 3-6

*Class will not be held 5/18, 6/11, 8/3, 8/17, 10/12 or 11/23. A make-up day will be scheduled for 8/3. 
**A $6 materials fee is due to the instructor at the first class meeting.

Kids' Night Out

Kids ages 4-9 can enjoy an evening of friends and creativity with us while their parents have a night out of their own! Art, music, stories and free play are included in this fun night. We'll share supper by candlelight and are sure to have more fun than mom and dad!  

Instructor: Freesia Raine worked for County Parks for over 20 years, primarily as the founder and coordinator of the Kreative Kids program.  She has led many classes in percussion, singing and songwriting with pre-K through elementary ages, as well as after-school classes in cooking and art.

6/16 - “Make New Friends, but Keep the Old” - Alumni of Freesia and Sandy’s classes are especially invited to this KNO. Let’s catch up and have a “Kreative” time. All kids are welcome!

7/7 - “A Red, White & Blue Bash" - We’ll make flags, share hot dogs and apple pie and sing American folksongs as evening falls. 

*A $5.00 material fee is due to the instructor at upon arrival at class.

Kreative Kids Theater

AEvery child is a star, when they join us for this unique musical experience led by Freesia Raine. In a supportive and playful environment, students develop confidence and collaboration skills while learning lines and lyrics. (No reading or memorization skill is required, but students must be able to attend class without their parent.) 

The 7-week series concludes with an evening show for families. Participating parents must assist with simple costuming, scenery and props. Each family provides snacks for one class meeting and for the performance night. Hand-outs detail the play’s needs as it evolves.

Kidsong Chorus
In this creative and fun musical class, students learn new songs and explore rhythms and percussion instruments, while building confidence and vocal skills. The class also explores creative movement, ASL (sign language) and beginning songwriting.  At the last class students will share what they’ve learned and created in an informal performance for families and local senior citizens.   (date & time to be chosen by consensus of participants) .

Instructor: Music teacher and songwriter Freesia Raine, who is the former co-ordinator of Kreative Kids.
