Hawaiian Camp
Polynesian Song, Dance & Ukulele

This summer, your child can experience the best in Polynesian music, culture and aloha!  Participants will learn traditional chants and Hawaiian songs, hula and other Polynesian dance forms.  They will also make leis and have the option to learn to play the ukulele.  We will immerse ourselves in authentic Polyne-sian culture – and have fun doing it!  Music and dance curriculum will vary by session, resulting in a unique experience if your child is registered in one, two or all three camp offerings.

Please note: Participants need to provide their own ukuleles if they wish to participate in learning how to play.  A music stand is not required, but helpful.

Instructor: Kalae was born and raised in Waimanalo, HI on the island of O’ahu.  He earned a BA in Music from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and taught for several years in Hawaii.  Kalae enjoys sharing his culture with all who want to learn authentic Polynesian song and dance.  *A $10 materials fee is due to the instructor at the first day of each camp session.
